Grunge Effect tutorial

Dubtastic is a great site for grunge effects.  You may find brushes here.  There also
 might be tutorials.  Explore this site.  There is also another site

You will find many vbrushes here & tutorials on how to make a vbrush.  This site is
 down at the moment, but you can try it later or tomorrow.  All the steps below I used
 different blending modes, so you will have the play, until you find the look you want.

My new project

As many of you have noticed I've been trying new ways to present an image.  Below
 shows the 2 images I used to create the last image.  The 2nd is my image & the 1st
I snagged off the internet to create a grunge effect.  My final image is formed using
 layers & blending modes in Photoshop.

I've worked on this on & off since the summer.  Same subject different seasons.  I'd like your opinion on this image, I tend to favor #1, but tried the sepia effect on the same image, just thought the color was better.
